H I S T O R Y


The Guidance and Counseling Department (BK), is one of the department carried by the FIP (Faculty of Education), Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang, established since 2001. At the beginning the Guidance and Counseling Department FKIP (Faculty of Teacher Training Education) was held based on the Decree from the Minister of National Education No. 106 / D / O / 2001, August 2, 2001. Furthermore, in 2015 FKIP Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang experienced a change in faculty name to FIP (Faculty of Education) in accordance with Rector’s Decree No. 579 / VI.A9 / UK-ML / VIII.2015, August 20, 2015 concerning changes in the name of the faculty and the grouping of Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang Department.


The drafting mechanism of Vision, Mission, Objectives, Target (VMTS) Guidance and Counseling Department are carried out through the following stages:

First

The formation of the VMTS formulation team consists of 1) Chair of the Guidance and Counseling Department, 2) Lecturers 3) Alumni and 4) Graduates.

Second

Collection of relevant sources, among others; 1) The results of self-evaluation and analysis needs internally and externally, 2) The results of Internal Quality Audit (AMI) 3) Department Quality Assurance System, 4) Unique Strategic Plan 2015-2019 and FIP 2011-2015, 5) Referring to the Vision Chancellor’s Decree The mission of Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang 098.a / VI.A2 / UK-ML / II.2014, dated February 10, 2014, and 6) Adapted to the FKIP 2014/2015 Academic Guidelines document.

Third

Drafting of VMTS Guidance and Counseling Department are conducted through; 1) discussion, dialogue, and brainstorming, by paying attention to input from lecturers, student representatives, alumni and graduate users. The expectation of being able to provide the right contribution in formulating the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the Guidance and Counseling Department that fits the needs of students and the needs of graduate users. 2) Sharpening the draft vision, mission, goals and objectives. The activity involves Guidance and Counseling experts from Universitas Negeri Malang, so that the formulation is in accordance with academic rules. 3) Improvement of the draft vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the Guidance and Counseling Department by the formulation team based on the inputs obtained in the previous stage.

Fourth

Approval of vision, mission, goals and objectives (VMTS) by the Dean of FIP and Chair of the Guidance and Counseling Department which was preceded by discussion of the substance of VMTS to suit the desired goals. In this activity, the Department’s vision and mission are always monitored whether there is a need for revisions or changes according to the development of the graduate needs.
